ABOUT
Meralda is a family owned property, located in the outback town of Cobar.
Owners John and Jenniffer have expanded Meralda into agritourism offering on farm seasonal paddock eco camping stays on on their gorgeous little property only minutes from the Cobar town centre.
If you after a secluded, peaceful outback setting where you can immerse yourself into bush nature with lots of space and authentic outback beauty. Then our place is for you.
We have allocated an area where you can set up camp, relax in your natural bush setting surrounded by gumtree’s, native wildlife and right next to water by the Dam. Or choose a secluded site where its just you and the outback.
Unwind by the campfire if season permits and enjoy the magnificent outback sunsets and breathtaking night sky stargazing that the outback is renowned for.
Glamping accommodation catering for singles, up to families. Has been added to offer again an eco outback experience where you can relax and be with nature yet retreat to your private sleeping quarters.
We offer a range of added extras to make your stay more memorable with meals, hampers, farm produce, animal feeding, holistic treatments and if any farm work is happening your welcome to watch or join in. All by prior arrangement.
Eco camping is all about leaving the environment as close to nature and as untouched as possible, so please consider that when you are looking at staying with us that our campground is as untouched as possible as we are still a grazing working farm.

Camp Fire
Firepits are on all secluded sites, the main campground offer some firepits, but you are welcome to bring our own.
You can purchase firewood on farm, or BYO

Nice simple kitchen for you to use. Located near the main campfire for ease of use
Shower & toilets
Enjoy the sky show from our open roof stargazing shower, an experience of its own
Sit by the Dam/Tank
Set up some seats on the bank and watch the sunset, or sunrise

Our kids usually have potty goats or sheep at home. Kids can intereact with if available
Star Gazing
Take your kids, friends or partner on a date to the Milky Way. We are very remote so there is no light pollution, which gives us the most beautiful starry nights. Grab a drink, and some nibbles and enjoy the show
Wellbeing
Take your stay to the next level and turn it into a retreat with wellness treatments and experiences
Walking & Bike Tracks
Explore on foot our tracks with plenty of bird life and interesting fauna and flora. Bitumen walking, bike track that runs into town not far from our turn off
Farm Shop
Coming in 2023, we are adding a farm stop for your convenience with on farm produce, and local goodies.
