ABOUT

ABOUT US

Meralda is a family owned and operated property, located in the outback mining town of Cobar. Run by the Barton family

John, Jenniffer, Drew, and Bella. They expanded Meralda into agritourism in 2021 offering on-farm seasonal low impact paddock eco focused camping stays on their gorgeous little property only minutes from the town centre.

We offer an authentic bush stay with country hospitality focusing on you leaving having an experience other than just our amazing food and accommodation.

We’d love for you to find a connection to the land, embrace the iconic red dirt and appreciate her outback beauty. Because finding solace in the stillness of the bush is one of the many reasons we have our guests return.

As mentioned we are more than just a stay!

We are renowned for our group dinners cooked on the open fire where we share tales of the area’s history, culture, and the natural wonders that surround you in our local area, & you’re welcome to join. We love sharing our passion with our guests. Our meal produce is sourced on farm & locally, This blend of delicious food, storytelling, and the beautiful ambiance by the fire creates a truly memorable experience. One we are proud to share with you & one people talk about years later.

We also offer our popular art workshops if you’d love to get creative & for those seeking alittle more restorative time you can add on many relaxing experiences like a energy session or a massage…One of our newest experiences is our stunning Bedford Bathhouse.  Where you can relax, and enjoy the magical sunsets.

We look forward to sharing our backyard with you.

Note: This is a farm located in the outback. Please expect:

Dust, amazing sunsets, flies, fabulous hospitality, burrs, quirky animals, unreliable weather forecasts, tranquility and ambience.
