ABOUT

ABOUT

Meralda is a family owned and operated property, located in the outback mining town of Cobar. Owners John and Jenniffer have expanded Meralda into agritourism in 2021 offering on-farm seasonal paddock eco camping stays on their gorgeous little property only minutes from the town centre.

Meralda offers a peaceful outback setting with a designated camp ground and plenty of space and authentic beauty. You can immerse yourself in nature surrounded by gumtrees and native wildlife. Alternatively, you can opt for a more isolated location with our secluded sites where it's just you and the raw beauty of the outback.

We also offer glamping for those who love the idea of camping but don't want to rough it or have the hassle of carting all the gear. This is the perfect solution. Experience the outdoors, without sacrificing comfort. Simply open the door to your cozy bed and enjoy.

Once you’re set up, all you need to do is relax, unwind by the campfire (if season permits), enjoy the magnificent outback sunsets and breathtaking night sky stargazing that the outback is renowned for.

We offer a range of added extras to make your stay more memorable with meals, hampers, farm produce, animal feeding, holistic treatments, Resin art classes and if any farm work is happening you’re welcome to watch or join in. All extras are by prior arrangement.

Note: This is a farm located in the outback. Please expect:

Dust, amazing sunsets, flies, fabulous hospitality, burrs, quirky animals, unreliable weather forecasts, tranquility and ambience.
